It seems like everywhere you look people are talking about the new Home Accents 12 foot tall Skeleton Halloween prop. I’ve got to admit, it is pretty darn imposing. When you see a very large skeleton the size of a house out of the corner of your eye, you stop what you are doing and pay attention! The super-sized skeleton doesn’t do a lot, but then again, he doesn’t really need to. He has some cool LCD eyes but as far as movement, it’s not going to do anything but look large and in charge. I had seen videos on the prop but didn’t think much of him. However, when I saw him for the first time I actually stopped my car, turned around and went back to get a closer look. He is that impressive.
Despite only being a static prop, the 12 foot tall Skeleton prop is so popular, he is pretty much out of stock at Home Depot and can only be found on the secondary market for a lot more money. Typically in October we see the best-selling props selling out, so it only makes sense that a skeleton that is twice the size of the average man would be in demand.
It seems like every year prop manufacturers make bigger and bigger props. I can only imagine what they come out with next year. Is there a demand for a 12 foot tall clown? We can only hope!
