What do you get when you cross a zombie who has been stuck underwater with an inflatable? The Animated Inflatable Bloated Zombie from Morbid Enterprises, of course! Typically inflatable Halloween props aren’t necessarily my thing but this guy caught my attention. In fact, he caught a lot of people’s attention. I saw numerous people stop what they were doing and walk over to the Bloated Zombie and take a picture of him.
I’m surprised no one has thought of this before. Animatronic inflatables are very rare and I don’t recall seeing very many over the years. When activated by a sensor or a Try Me step pad. The Bloated Zombie’s head and body begin to turn. His arms also move and his eyes light up.
The Bloated Zombie is a rather large prop. Standing six feet tall and five feet wide this guy takes up a lot of room. I especially like the blood around his mouth. It’s almost like he finally got out of the well he fell into and took a bite of the first person he saw!
The cost of the prop isn’t yet known and vary by retailer. From my calculations I believed the prop will likely sell in the $199 to $249 range depending on where you find him. Retailers have their own set margins so one place may have the Bloated Zombie at $249 but an outlet might have him at $229 plus shipping and handling. Each store is different so you will have to shop around and find the best deal. It is extremely doubtful you will see the prop at Spirit Halloween as they typically do not carry Morbid Enterprises products. Usually you find the Morbid Halloween props at Halloween City or other stores that are operated by franchisees.
Keep checking back as we will be adding new props from HauntCon 2020 in the coming days. We’ve posted a lot but there is still so much more coming down the pipe!
