I never really thought puppets were scary, that was until I saw the Giant Puppet Dancer from Poison Props. That big puppet is making question my position. The animatronic marionette made it’s debut at Transworld in the Poison Props booth last month and is one of their newest creations for Halloween 2018.
Check out the video below to see how creepy the Giant Puppet Dancer really is. Just a heads up, you may never look at Pinocchio the same after you watch it.
The Giant Puppet Dancer stands at seven feet tall and is dressed eerily similar to Pee Wee Herman (I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing). He starts out sitting limp on a box until he is activated by a motion sensor or controller. Once activated the prop stands up and waves his arms around while his head moves and his feet begin to dance
Unlike the props at Spirit Halloween and Halloween Express the Giant Puppet Dancer is a pneumatic prop that requires compressed air to make the marionette come alive. But as you can see from the video above he’s pretty darn cool and worth the extra hassle of using an air compressor.
The downside to Poison Props is that they aren’t cheap. But if you don’t mind paying extra for quality you really can’t beat Poison Props. The Giant Puppet Dancer will set you back $2,495 plus another $340 for shipping. For an extra $199 you can add the audio option that includes a digital audio player, powered speaker and an audio scream effect. Poison Props has been around the industry for years and have a reputation of building quality props that are built to last. Their props have been featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show as well as haunted houses all over the United States.
