Morbid Enterprises has rolled out their catalog for 2018 and Halloween fans all over the world are checking it out to see what their creepiest items will be this year. One of the first things that jumped out to me was the new Tribunal animatronic. It’s hard to put into words exactly what it is so check out the video from HauntCon in New Orleans last month.

It looks to me like the prop has three faces of different nuns who are being tormented. My friend told me he thought it looked like a prisoner. Ultimately, I guess it’s your call to figure out what it is and what you want it to be at your Halloween party this year.

The Tribunal animated prop is more weird than creepy. And that’s not exactly a bad thing. I like the fact that the prop has different color of lights shining on it’s face. It doesn’t really look all that scary in the video because it’s so well lit where it was taken. But on Halloween night when it’s dark outside and all you can see is something that has a different face every few seconds, it might scare the hell out of someone who has had a couple of beers.

Pricing isn’t known yet for most new Halloween props. The Tribunal prop is no exception. I think like the Jumpsuit Psycho prop that Morbid Enterprises did for 2018, the Tribunal prop will likely sell in the $99 to $149 range. Morbid has a pretty good repuation for building pretty good props for affordable prices. Ultimately though, the decision about pricing will be made by the retailer. Every store or website has different pricing structures and each has a set margin they like to keep for products they sell. We’ll have to wait until the late summer when we start to see the new stuff appear on Halloween Express and/or Spirit Halloween’s website.

Halloween 2018 will be here before you know it. I know I can’t wait!
