Transworld is always the best place to find the latest and greatest Halloween props. Each year all the top companies in the Halloween industry come together in St. Louis and shows off their newest creations. This year there were so many cool things new for 2018 but the one thing that jumped out at me wasn’t exactly a new prop. It was one that has been out for a couple of years that managed to go under the radar, Candy Crusher.

As soon as I saw the Candy Crusher prop from Haunt Creations the first thing that popped in my head was, “Oompa Loompa doompadee doo…” Everyone knows that song and loves the classic Willy Wonka movie starring Gene Wilder from 1971. Tim Burton tried to remake it in in 2005 but it didn’t hold up against the original that so many people grew up with and cherished. The Oompa Loompas were a huge part of the movie and I’ve always had a fascination with them. They weren’t cute and cuddly, Oompa Loompas were weird and slightly creepy. I think that’s what makes them so fascinating.
If you’ll recall Veruca Salt wanted her dad to buy an Oompa Loompa in the movie but it didn’t end so well for her. However, Haunt Creations has made it possible for you to own your very own Oompa Loom…, I mean Candy Crusher for your haunt this fall.
The Candy Crusher is 48 inches tall and is mounted on a 1×1 steel plate. He is filled with foam (not candy) and can be customized to fit your needs.
