According to Spirit Halloween, Miss Hatchet doesn’t play well with others.
Ellie has no problems fending for herself. When Ma and Pa got too sick to protect their cabin from the monsters that lurk in the misty woods that surround the Hatchet family farm, Ellie took things into her own hands. After years of no sleep and little to eat, Ellie has gotten a little cabin fever, but don’t call her crazy, or you might leave the farm minus a few fingers.
When activated by a step pad or sensor Ellie Hatchet begins to swing her axe and says one of two different phrases.
“Get back! (scary music and creepy laughter)”
“What are you looking at? (scary music and creepy laughter)”
Coming in at 51 inches tall Ellie isn’t not very big. The point of the prop is that Ellie is on her knees and has gone crazy and is a little unpredictable. She weighs just over seven pounds and is easily assembled.
At $159.99 Ellie Hatchet won’t break your bank. This is a typical mid-range prop that isn’t very expensive but still can deliver a scare.
