Now that TransWorld 2021 has come and gone, we have seen what will be in store this October and I’m starting to get excited. One of the most impressive Halloween props I saw from the big show in St. Louis is the Hooded Phantom. If you aren’t familiar with the Phantom, please check out the video below.
When activated by a step pad or motion sensor the Hooded Phantom comes to life and begins moving around and moving his arms up down. Once he makes his presence known, he says the following eerie phrases.
At last you are here! Come closer, I will escort you into the shadows of the night!
Your time on this earth has come to an end. I have come for your soul. Whether you sing with the choir invisible or wail with the demons of the underworld, I care not. Your soul is mine.
Come this way, don’t resist. Submit yourself to my embrace. Then, your suffering will not be as great.
Standing right at six feet tall, the Hooded Phantom is pretty cool. I think for the prop to be effective, you really have to have him placed in a dark room. He reminds me of the Nazgul, from the Lord of the Rings. They rode around on horses and did the bidding of Sauron. I am seriously thinking about adding him to my collection, but it’s always up to you to decide whether or not you want to pull the trigger.
I hate saying this, but I pretty much have to. The price of the Hooded Phantom isn’t set in stone and will vary depending on where you find him. Typically, he might be cheaper on Halloween Express’ website, but when you factor in shipping costs, it starts to add up. From what I’ve seen, the Phantom will likely retail in the $249-$299 range.
Be sure to check back often as there will be more cool props released soon. You aren’t going to want to miss out!
