What a weekend in Egg Harbor Township! I saw all kinds of killer new animatronic Halloween props that I know will be very popular this year! One of the props I was most exciting to see what the new Bog Zombie. From what I had seen online, the Bog Zombie was a pretty cool animatronic. But, like so many before, looks can be deceiving, especially after you see them up close.

If you haven’t seen the Bog Zombie, please check out the video below.

Honestly, to me, this prop is best when it’s not activated. I’m not a fan of light-up eyes and it’s sort of a turn-off for me. However, with that being said, I think the Bog Zombie would downright frightening in the corner of a dimly lit room. I can just see my friends and family walking into the room and seeing him out of the corner of their eye. As they get closer he springs to life and begins to make those eerie guttural sounds. They would run out of the room as fast as they could!

At $249.99 the Bog Zombie is reasonably priced. If you are looking for a zombie prop this year, I believe that the Bog Zombie is probably the best one you will find under $300. Sure, you could find something slightly more realistic from other places like Gore Galore or another high end company, but most people don’t have a thousand bucks to drop on a new zombie Halloween prop for their home haunt.

If I had to rate him on a scale from one to five, I’d give the Bog Zombie 3.75 stars. He’s not perfect, but he’s pretty good and more than effective at contributing to a creepy zombie scene in your backyard or garage.
