UPDATE: The Kickstarter for the Good Guys Chucky is live! This is the link.

Fans of Chucky and the Child’s Play movie franchise were thrilled when Trick or Treat Studios unveiled their new Good Guys Chucky prop in January at Haunt Con in New Orleans. Their new prop will be a one to one scale version of Chucky and looks to be an exact replica from the movies. The friendly version of Chucky is not available for pre-order just yet but you will be able to get some exclusive perks on Kickstarter in April when Trick of Treat Studios start a campaign for the Chucky Doll.

Check out the news from Trick or Treat Studios Facebook page.

** Child’s Play 2 On To On Scale Good Guys Chucky Doll Update **

In April, and we don’t have the exact date yet, we will be launching a Kickstarter Campaign for the Chucky Doll.

The Kickstarter is going to be amazing and it will include a handful of awesome Kickstarter Exclusive Stretch Goals and two Pledge Levels including one that includes a signed Kickstarter Exclusive Certificate for the first 50 dolls signed by Brad Dourif, the voice of Chucky himself. We will also have a Pledge Level for Retailer Stores as well so that no one will be left out.

We are finalizing all of the graphic elements of the campaign and other details now and these things take time, so please be patient as we want this to be a success. That being said, the factory is currently making the production molds now, so we are moving forward full force!

The image of the doll in the picture in this update is exactly what your getting and there isn’t a single piece of this doll that wasn’t made from screen used molds and material, in other words, this is as close as you’ll ever get to owning a screen used doll. The doll was assemble and put together Chucky Expert, credited in both of the last two Child’s Play films, Garrett Zima.

We will announce all the details on Facebook and through our Newsletter which you can join at the bottom of our page at https://www.trickortreatstudios.com/

If you don’t want to participate on Kickstarter you can still pre-order Good Guys Chucky on Trick of Treat Studios’ website in a few months. The Kickstarter campaign is only being done to offer fun and exclusive content that can only be done via a crowd funding campaign.

Kickstarter is a popular way to sell and raise money for different products that has become increasingly popular over the years. Comic books, action figures and even professional wrestling promotions have all raised money for different ventures in the past few years via Kickstarter. If you think Kickstarter is a way to get rich quick you are wrong. Typically the company has to pay a certain percentage, generally around ten percent to the site to do the campaign.

The cost of the Good Guys Chucky isn’t know yet but if you base it off of the Gremlins props that are available on their site it looks like the new Chucky prop will run in the $200-$300 range. We will know for sure in a few weeks when Trick or Treat Studios announces their Kickstarter Campaign. I guess we will just have to stay tuned…
